For the 2005-2006 school year, I have worked as a teaching intern at Oakton High School in Vienna, Virginia and West Springfield High School in Springfield, Virginia as part of the Fairfax Transition to Teaching Partnership between Fairfax County Public Schools and The George Washington University. 

After completing a master's degree in secondary education and the requirements for teaching licensure in August 2006, I will be certified to teach in Virginia and Washington, DC. Entering the employment pool with a master's degree, full teaching licensure, and full year of experience in working in a high school on a daily basis, my qualifications exceed the requirements outlined by NCLB as a 'highly-qualified' education professional.
